2012 Summer Olympics in London, Phelps won four golds and two silver medals, making him the most successful athlete of the Games for the third Olympics in a row.
Phelps is the long course world record holder in the 100-meter butterfly, 200-meter butterfly and 400-meter

    You have chosen to profile, arguably, the most famous Olympic athlete of the past decade. Great idea! Michael Phelps is truly one of a kind. He has won more Olympic medals than anyone. In fact, his current medal total is 22. Twenty-two medals! How amazing is that?!

    I hope that you enjoyed reading about Michael and are able to watch him compete in Rio. They expect him to win a number of medals at this year's competition. I think that he will win 5 medals. What do you think?
