Week 3 - Day 4 - Activity 1

Light is the only thing I know
Inevitable in this lonely world.
Get up from sorrow, search high.
Heaven knows you must not sigh.
Try to come up without loneliness inside.

In this Activity we had to write a acrostic poem about Light. Above this DLO is a acrostic poem that I wrote about light. This a bit challenging for me because I didnet know what acrostic poem goes with light

Week 3 - Day 3 - Activity 1

Banded Dotterel (Pohowera)

My bird is a Banded Dotterel (Pohowera) but they are usually called Plover. They are usually found in the New Zealand Seashore's, estuaries, and riversides. The Plovers run then they stop and peck the ground. They'll always run while they are searching for food. They usually search for Invertebrates which are little tiny animals.

In this activity, we had to found a bird that was on this website called "Bird of the year" This was an activity where we had to find a bird and we had to write a short description about the bird. The bird I choose was Banded Dotterel which is also called Plove. In our description, we had to write where the bird lives and what it eats.

Week 3 - Day 2 - Bonus Activity

In this activity, we had to imagine that we tested the air in your classroom and found 7 different kinds of mold. Eek! The cleaner says that it takes 5 days for each mold to be eradicated (removed). If the school had to remove each mold one at a time, how long would it take to remove all the mold from the classroom? My answer I think is 35 because I did 7 x 5 and it = 35.

Week 3 - Day 2 - Activity 1

The word ‘bumblebee’ is a compound word (bumble + bee). The word ‘bumble’ means
To hum, buzz and drone or move in sloppy or pitch.

Bumblebees can fly very quickly. They can reach ground speeds of up to 54 kilometres per hour (km/h).

Bumblebees are very strong! They carry up to 90% percent of their body weight in food with them to avoid starvation.
Bumblebees can do more work and carry more pollen than other bees, including honeybees. In fact, they can do up to 50 times as much work as a normal honeybee.

The number of bumblebees is declining in New Zealand due to a number of factors, including the removal of wildflowers and flowering trees, habitat loss, and extensive use of pesticides.

In this Activity, we had to finish the sentence that was in the SLJ site. This activity was all about bees. This was a bit easy because I searched the sentences on google and I started to read the stories. Above this blurb is my finish the sentence.
