Day 2 - Activity 2 Winter Hoilday Journey

1. Why do you like going to travel around the world?

2. Do you like going on the ship?

3. Is it scary going when you're on the boat outside?

4. What do you most like at the the places you have been to.?

5. Have you been to niuean?

For this acvity I had to watch a video about Laura Dekker ( This was fun because I had to list 5 question I would ask Laura about.

  1. Hi Joshua!

I think Laura would be really keen to answer your questions! I love that your questions are really thoughtful and it sounds like you are keen to learn more about her sailing. I would like to know if it is scary too, I don't think I'd be brave enough to sail the world by myself!

I see that you would ask if she has been to Niue, are you from Niue?

Well done on completing this activity Joshua, I look forward to reading more of your blog.

    Nicky :)

  2. These are some great questions Joshua! I really liked your last question, it would be interesting to know if she made it to Niue. If she did, she might have met some of your family! Sailing around the world by yourself is incredibly challenging as a adult, I can't even begin to think how a 14 year old did that alone! Well done for taking part in the Winter Learning Journey. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your posts :)

  3. Hi Joshua. The questions you have asked are great. I think it is incredible for a fourteen year old girl to sail around the whole world by herself. I like how you have left a link to a video of Laura Dekker sailing the world. Keep up the great work.

  4. Hey Joshua
The questions you thought of are excellent. My favorite one is the first one. Laura Dekker did something that not many people can do and she did it at a very young age so she is probably a role model for many young people. Well done.

  5. Hello Joshua, you have came up with some really interesting questions to ask Laura. I really like the the first question and I also like the fourth question. Keep on working hard.

  6. Hi Joshua,
i like questions that you made for Laura. I think that the best questions the question 3. I also think that most of your questions does not make sense. Well Done
