How to write a good Email?

Today I we were doing cybersmart with Mr Ausrthurt. We had to write a list of things on How to write a good Email to someone. We also watched a video which was on the big screen. The photo shows an example of how to write an email to someone.

Matariki poster - Joshua V, Maata and Sa kae

Today Maata, Sa Kae and I were making a poster for Matariki. We first made a summary about Matariki by choosing important words in the information. After that we used those words to help us write the sentences in our summary.

I learnt that the other side of the world calls the Matariki stars Pleiades. In English Matariki is called tiny eyes or eyes of god. On the right you can see some facts we wrote down. There are 6 Sisters and 1 mother so that makes 7 stars. Did you know that in 2017 there are 9 Matariki Stars?

PBS Blackout day

Today P.B.S were doing blackout day which we had to wear black clothes for the All Blacks and red clothes for the Lions. I've chosen to wear the All blacks clothes because I know that the All Blacks might win the game. We first got numbers durning the roll time. When we had our numbers we had to go tot he hall for assembly and Mrs Anderson gave us a tattoos for some people to have on their skin. Mr Oglive gave us a paper to hold. The Kapa haka group preformed in front of the school and we had to hold the paper that had rugby players name on it Aj leaded the group really well and the kapa haka boys as well. After we went out side to stand in our lines. Mr Wong from LS1 had his drone with him to take the photo and recored us saying all blacks. Afterwards the whole school had to stand in a circle on the courts so Aj was the first person to pass the ball around and at the end Mr Oglive kicked the ball to the felid. Dance

Today group B were doing dance. First Viva and I had to show the group our warm ups. Then were watching a video that was on the screen. Afterwards we were practicing our geometrie dance. We were stuck because we couldn't find a song that will match our moves. We were told that if you were making a slow move we had to find a slow music and if we were doing the fast moves we had to find a fast music.

Dance - Evaluation Movies

Today for dance we were practicing our dances so Mrs Anderson can record us. I need to work better on being confidence so I can look and the audience. When it came to Viva and I we were nervous because we were stuck on our actions.

Materials and how long it takes to degrade

This is a Histogram to show how long some materials take to degrade. Styrofoam takes the longest because it takes 500 - forever to breakdown. The fastest thing to break down are wool socks and plastic, which takes 5 years. (The information is shown in days.) The information comes from a site called Science Learning Hub.

Durning reading we were reading a story called Buttons. This poster shows what you can do if someone is choking. The book was about Hannah's mum who thought her baby had swallowed a button.
