Information: The hottest temperature on record in each place is: Dallol: 41oC; Dasht-e Loot: 71oC; Tirat Zvi: 54oC; Kabili: 55oC; Bandar-e Mahshahr: 51oC. Crazy ‘eh?! In this Activity, I was asked to use the information above to create a graph. The graph has a title along with the names of each city and their hottest recorded temperatures. You can draw the graph by hand or use a computer programme like Google Draw to create your graph. I decided to use google SpreadSheet. The City Dasht-E-Loot has the highest temperature out of all of the 5 cities, In this city, it has 71 degrees. The lowest temperature is Dallol at 41 Degrees.

Week 2 - Day 5 - Bonus Activity

In this Activity I read an article written by the Summer Learning Journey It says:

The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef system, made up of 2900 individual reefs. It is so big that it can actually be seen from space! The reef is located on the east coast of Australia and many people believe that it is millions and millions of years old. For most of its life, the reef has been a healthy, vibrant ecosystem. Over the past thirty years, however, it has changed dramatically. Much of the beautiful bright coral has become bleached and has lost its color. Sections of the reef have also been damaged by tourists, cyclones and the introduction of new, damaging invasive species.

The Australian government is working to protect and preserve the reef. Each year they spend about $200 million dollars repairing and protecting the reef. It is a lot of money and they could really use some help raising the money (funds) required to repair the reef.

We also had to write three Ideas or strategy for raising the Great Barrier Reef. Above this blurb shows the three Ideas I choose to talk about.

Week 2 - Day 5 - Activity 2

In this Activity, we had to find two rivers in New Zealand that were Polluted. We had to say how it was solved to make it clean. I used a website called Scoop. The 2 rivers I choose were Waikirikiri (Selwyn River) and Tukituki River.

Week 2 - Day 5 - Activity 1

I  agree, that when people are overfishing in someones proptey they should get fined $100,000 (that's a lot). I think it's fair because it will make the people stop fishing in a closed to all commercial fishing area, they can also stop and learn from there mistake.

In this Activity, people have been fishing in a wrong area so when these fishers get caught they will be fined $100,000 in total. I think this was fair because it can make people learn from their wrong mistake. Above this Blurb shows why I agreed for people to get fined $100,000.

Week 2 - Day 4 - Bonus Activity

In this picture above I think they are celebrating a sports game and I think this is at Mt Eden. Because mostly most sports game is located at Mt Eden. I think this sport is a rugby league game. I also think those people are fans, probably these fans are taking a photo of there favorite rugby player or might because they scored a winning goal. I think at that time they were allowed to take photos because they have permission to take photos with these players or this might be at a basketball game. I think it is at a basketball game because of the man in red looks to me like a red t-shirt supporting a basketball team.

In this activity, we had to pick 3 pictures that were located on the site. I choose to do the photo above because It sounds like it was pretty easy to write about. We had to write about what was happening in that photo.

Week 2 - Day 4 - Activity 2

Here should be the Geothermal pool in Rotorua:

Green Stinky Lake
Groppy Lake
Green Sloppy
*Wai-O-Tapu Pool*

Week 2 - Day 4 - Activity 1

I choose to go on a boat because it can save time from walking on a long trip. I also pick this reason because you can also see things around you instead of going close or if going on helicopters it can make loud noises.

In this Activity, we had to pick three options which were Walking, Boat or helicopter. I choose to go on a boat because it is easier. If your thinking where we would be going to explore we should be exploring in Milford Sound.

The Giant Squid weighs 500kg.
An average adult can lift 25kg
An average child can lift 15kg
How many people does it take to lift the squid?

What did is I times 25kg by 20kg and it made 500kg.
So 25 Adults and 20 Children can lift up the 500kg Squid.
So my answer should be 500.

In this Activity, we had a 500 kg squid in Te Papa in Auckland. This was a Maths problem. This was hard because I had to times the 25 by 20 and it made 500. This was challenging for me because we had to try and solve this problem. The question for this was How many adults and children could move this giant Squid?

My charter is Batman as everyone knows. I choose him because he looks tough and strong. He uses his Batarang his Batarang helps him protect himself from getting hurt, so what he does is that he throws the Batarang to the attacker. He looks strong and tough because has also got abs and muscles which make him look strong.

In this activity, we had to pick a charter on a comic book or a movie. We had to pick a charter that we think that was tough and strong. Above this blurb is about my charter I choose.

2) Set 1 cup of the milk in a medium saucepan over average heat. Meanwhile, place the remaining 1/2 cup of milk and flour in a small bowl and whisk together until there are no lumps. Meanwhile, you just start to see wisps of steam rising from the warming milk, whisk in the milk-and-flour mixture. Continue whisking gently until the milk sets slightly to the texture of heavy cream, 3 - 4 minutes.
