Week 3 - Day 2 - Bonus Activity

In this activity, we had to imagine that we tested the air in your classroom and found 7 different kinds of mold. Eek! The cleaner says that it takes 5 days for each mold to be eradicated (removed). If the school had to remove each mold one at a time, how long would it take to remove all the mold from the classroom? My answer I think is 35 because I did 7 x 5 and it = 35.

  1. Greetings Joshua!
That's a great answer Joshua! I think I got that answer to. That wall of mold is disgusting. How did you figure out time tables. My question is what things would he use to clean it up?

    Keep it up Joshua!

  2. Greetings Joshua,

Congratulations for completing this task. I did this task too. I got exactly the same answer as you, because I used the same formula as you too. I knew that it was 35, because I used 7x5, which equalled to 35. Nice answer. The image looks disgusting, but the maths is great.

    NICE:)

  3. Kia Ora Joshua,

Well done on completing the last maths problem of the Summer Learning Journey! It’s awesome to read that you know your time tables off by heart so it was easy for you to work out the answer. Is maths one of your favourite subjects at school? I sure wouldn’t want to be the person who had to spend 35 whole days cleaning up mould! Would you?

    Blog ya later!

  4. Hi Joshua,
Well done on completing this Summer Learning Journey activity. Your working out is great. I also got 35 as my answer. Would you clean up the 7 different types of moulds if you were paid? Keep up the awesome work.
